I’m located in the northern Black Forest in the southwest of Germany.
I started with analog photography in 1989. At that time I loved using my Minolta gear. At some point, the first digital cameras came on the market and I quickly realized that digital photography with the post-editing options in Photoshop offers so many opportunities to optimize the expression possibilities.
My first digital camera was a Minolta Dynax 7D. I think that was in 2005. Then in 2013 I switched to the Nikon system. With Nikon I started with a D7100, then I photographed with the D810. Later came the D850 and then 2021 the switch to mirrorless with the Nikon Z7. My newest camera is the Nikon Z8 since beginning of 2024.
I don't won't to label myself. I'm not a landscape photographer, also not a street photographer or macro photographer.
I think best fit is to name it outdoor photographer.

Ich wohne im nördlichen Schwarzwald im Südwesten Deutschlands.
Ich habe 1989 mit der analogen Fotografie begonnen. Damals habe ich meine Minolta-Ausrüstung sehr gerne benutzt. Irgendwann kamen die ersten Digitalkameras auf den Markt und mir wurde schnell klar, dass die digitale Fotografie mit den Nachbearbeitungsmöglichkeiten in Photoshop so viele Möglichkeiten bietet, die Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten zu optimieren.
Meine erste Digitalkamera war eine Minolta Dynax 7D. Ich glaube, das war 2005. 2013 bin ich dann zum Nikon-System gewechselt. Bei Nikon habe ich mit einer D7100 angefangen, dann habe ich mit der D810 fotografiert. Später kam die D850 und 2021 der Wechsel zur spiegellosen Nikon Z7. Meine neueste Kamera ist seit Anfang 2024 die Nikon Z8.
Ich möchte mich nicht selbst in eine Schublade stecken. Ich bin kein Landschaftsfotograf, auch kein Straßenfotograf oder Makrofotograf.
Am besten passt wohl die Bezeichnung Outdoor-Fotograf.
